Exercise Groups for Fall Prevention
The ‘‘Stand Up!’’ program lasts 12 weeks and covers three components: group exercises, exercises at home and discussion sessions on fall prevention. Objectives are to improve balance and leg strength, adopt safe behaviours, fall prevention, maintain bone density and encourage the practice of regular physical activity. Has it been a few years since you’ve taken the class, or has your health changed? You may benefit from taking the class again! For those who recently have completed the Stand Up! program, we offer an advanced exercise class as well.
